John
5:24 Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth
my Word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life,
and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto
life.”
This
new life Jesus is talking about is a life of transformation. It
is the Word that transforms the mind, changes the character and
gives us an inheritance in the Spirit. It is God coming in, dwelling
in us, walking and talking through us. Lets face it; THERE IS NO
GOD LIKE OUR GOD; and NO GOD CAN GOD LIKE OUR GOD! The gods of our
worlds cannot and will not transform us into New Life. The gods
of this world, regardless what they may be, money, careers, lust,
anger or anything that we use to replace God will never give you
the enduring strength that the Lord has available. God wants to
take ordinary men and women and bring them into extraordinary conditions.
It is not what we are, but it is what God wants us to be.
The
things of this world are totally upside down from the way it is
suppose to be. That development happened when man quit being obedient
to God and started being obedient to the flesh. From that point
on it has been a battle that is never ending and will continue to
be a battle until Jesus comes and sets up His reign. Satan is still
at war against Jesus. Now he tries to get to Jesus through you.
That is why satan seduces and tempts your flesh. Yes you are in
a battle, but it isn't your battle. Satan wants to convince you
to give up on Jesus. He wants to make you run from the battle and
leave the Lord's army. It's vital for you to have a true biblical
understanding of what's going on in your life right now. When satan
comes against you like a flood, he's not just trying to get you
to become a fornicator or thief or alcoholic or pleasuremonger.
It is because you belong to Christ or may belong to Christ and the
devil does not want you there.
Remember
this, it does not matter what spiritual battle you are in right
now, just put it in the Lord's hands. Place that battle completely
under the Blood of Jesus. Then also remember this: Who shall separate
us from the Love of God? NOTHING; NOWHERE; NO TIME; only if we allow
it.
“For
I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height,
nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be ale to separate us from
the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans
8:38,39
