Matthew 18:19

19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

This is possibly one of the greatest teachings from Christ about “agreement." God made a covenant or agreement with man for his salvation. Jesus' atonement for sin is God's method to bring man into agreement with himself so He can show His favor toward men. The total principle here is that the place of agreement is the place of power. A place of power! So many want the power of God in their lives, however, they won't walk in the place of obedience that He has asked us to. So often we find ourselves in disagreement and disobedience. The bottom line for the last statement is unbelief. Unbelief causes disagreement and disobedience. Belief brings agreement manifested in obedience. Listen to another teaching from Jesus; a great Promise from God of how He will hear and answer us. John 15:7-8

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Agreeing with the Scripture, taking God at His word, is agreeing with God. When you pray in agreement with another person and are praying as the Scripture enjoins, according to God's Will, you are in agreement with God. EXPECT HIM TO ANSWER ACCORDINGLY.

Disagreement brings division, discord, and rebellion. The place of agreement is the place of power. This is true in the Kingdom of God as well as in the secular world. It applies to marriage, family, and employment relationships.
