THE IMPORTANCE OF FOLLOWING THE LORD

Here is a simple truth. The lukewarm, half hearted and the fleshly believer will never know Jesus. Jesus Himself said it this way; So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Revelation 3:16 Those should be soul stirring words for us to remember and then if we fit in that category, do something about.

Now, consider this: Actually, we are doing battle, seeking victory, and moving forward in our walk in Christ. It does take time. In that “time taking”, the devil will do all within his power to make you think that you are not going to make it, that it is too steep a hill to climb, and you might as well give up.

Allow me to encourage you TO TAKE UP THE FIGHT!

What is the fight? It is this: We have declared war on sin and on unbelief. We must be willing to do the battle no matter what it costs us. We must be willing to do battle with anything that will stand between us and the fullness of God's Covenant Promises!

We read from the Scriptures in 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

The secret is to determine with all our heart, soul, mind and strength to go the distance with the Lord. We live in a world of compromise, bitterness and rebellion. We must draw a line in the sand. We must not allow this generations filth and unbelief to corrupt us ever again. HERE IS A FOUR WAY PLAY OF APPLICATION:

  1. RESIST
  2. SACRIFICE
  3. OBEY GOD
  4. SURRENDER ON TO JESUS
