I began drinking alcohol heavily when I was in the military as a young adult. At age 20, I met my wife and she was a Christian and initially introduced me to Jesus. At age 22, when I left the military, I realized that I was an alcoholic. For 21 years alcohol consumed me and by the age of 43 it was destroying my marriage and family, my business and my personal relationship with Jesus. Although I was a “functional alcohol” and worked very hard my addiction caused us financial hardships. I was desperate for an answer to be free from my addiction to alcohol and then my wife was lead by the Holy Spirit to the Addicts Victorious web page. It was there that I discovered the Addicts Victorious 5 Day Biblical Counseling Program. I traveled a long distance from the state of Delaware to Quincy Illinois to attend the program. Just prior to coming the 5 Day Biblical Counseling Program I was spending approximately $400 a month on alcohol and was drinking almost everyday. Throughout the years I tried different programs, attended rehab, and tried on my own effort to overcome my addiction to alcohol, but I only felt worse about myself and received no hope of ever changing.

     The 5-Day Biblical Counseling Program at Addicts Victorious is like no other program that you could ever imagine. I was shown that through the power of Jesus Christ and the Word that there is hope and I'm no longer an alcoholic. I have been set free and I'm a Child of God and through Him I am an overcomer. The 5-Day Biblical Counseling Program did not focus on my past, but instead, through the power of Jesus Christ I was shown my future. Although I had to come a long way, not only was it worth the trip but I'm going back home as a new Creation in Jesus Christ, a new husband, and a new father.
