| "I
was adopted at birth to good Christian parents, raised in the church
with basically the perfect childhood. At 14 or 15 I started experimenting
with drugs and alcohol. By the time I was 17 I was a father but
still managed to complete high school. Got a job on Sunday and stopped
going to church. After that I got a job on the road working construction
all over the country partying, drinking and drugging. Cocaine had
become my drug of choice by then.
At
20 years old I got arrested for possession of marijuana, and spent
5 months in jail. Due to my drug use over a period of the next ten
to fifteen years I had numerous arrests and spent a considerable
amount of time in jail. At 36 years old I went to prison in the
state of Illinois because of my methamphetamine use. After two years
in prison I got out and started using again and within a year I
started manufacturing meth. I learned in prison how to become a
better cook and a better dealer. Within that year I got arrested
for manufacturing meth and got a ten year sentence in the Iowa state
penitentiary. During the time of my incarceration I finally turned
my life over to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. After two years
of serving my sentence I was paroled.
After
all this had happened and I surrendered my life to the Lord I could
finally understand the things I had been taught as a child. As I
started my new lifestyle I got involved in ministry and helping
in the Addicts Victorious programs in my local community. However
I was still struggling with many issues. Realizing there were still
things in my life that needed changing I decided to go through the
5-Day Biblical Counseling Program which was truly a life changing
experience. Through the program and the Blood of Jesus Christ I
have been completely set free and delivered from the things that
had kept me in bondage my entire life. I want to personally thank
all the people who pray and financially support this program making
it possible for people like myself, who are still struggling with
life's issues, to find that there is hope and that they can spend
eternity with Jesus Christ regardless of their past."
