I had a normal and comfortable childhood; no alcohol or drugs or abuse of any kind. No one even smoked cigarettes in my family. I attended church weekly but had no knowledge or relationship with Jesus Christ or even knew the difference.

I was always attracted to the bad boys; the ones with long hair and motorcycles always seemed more exciting. At the age of fourteen I started experimenting with marijuana and alcohol. I continued to spiral into a life of drugs. By the age of thirty-five I was addicted to meth; I went to prison and lost my children twice.

Finally, I recently decided I was missing out on something. I knew that I couldn’t stay clean on my own. However, with the help of Addicts Victorious, I finally found the answer—that through faith in Jesus Christ I could be delivered of that addiction once and for all.

I attended the 5-Day Biblical Counseling Program and I was delivered—and not only delivered, but inspired and saved. Words can’t explain how I feel. I am finally happy and have self-worth, and I know that God has a plan for me.
