I started using pot when I was fifteen and started using crystal meth when I was seventeen; by the time I was eighteen I had a cocaine addiction. By the time I was twenty-three I had lost two children because of my addiction. Along with this I had addictions to the wrong men, and I endured a lot of abuse and a lot of heartache.

I lost three men in my life, who died due to alcohol and drugs. The third one was my husband, who hung himself in my garage; when I found him, it devastated me. I was left a widow at twenty-nine, and my health was bad due to drugs as well.

At 32, I had a stroke. I still continued to use until I about lost my life the second time. I felt like Satan had me in bondage and I felt like I was at the gates of hell.  I tried twelve-step programs and treatment centers—nothing seemed to work. 

Addicts Victorious was my last hope. I started attending meetings and was told about the 5-Day Biblical Counseling Program. I was fortunate to find that they had an opening.

The burden, guilt and shame were lifted away; now I am totally delivered from everything in my past and have a whole new beginning thanks to Jesus Christ.
