STEPS TO REMEMBER
Reading
from Proverbs 3:1-10
Here
we will find an exhortation to obedience and an exhortation to humility
and an exhortation to strength. Obedience and humility will lead
to the strength that we need.
Verse
1 My son, forget not my law; but
let thine heart keep my commandments:
So
Step # 1 is: TRUST GOD'S STRENGTH AND ABILITY,
NOT YOUR OWN.
Notice
the Word that is instructing us here……… let thine heart keep
God's commandments and not your head! When we come to the Lord
we give Him our heart to keep and that is what must be maintained
with the Lord's Word.
STEP
# 2: Feed and develop your faith through God's
Word EVERYDAY !!!
It
strengthens our belief in God. Take this action. It is our defense
against Satan. The Bible is not only your food to take for your
spirit and soul, but it is the Sword, your weapon against spiritual
warfare.
STEP
# 3: RENEW YOUR MIND; REPROGRAM YOUR THOUGHTS
Speak
words of faith and victory over yourself . Wherefore
laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies,
and all evil speakings, 2
As
newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may
grow thereby:

Peter 2:2 (KJV)
STEP
# 4: GET A NEW SELF IMAGE ACCORDING TO GOD'S WORD
You
are important. You must be! Jesus paid the price of your sin so
your can live forever with His Father, Him, the Holy Spirit in His
Kingdom, Heaven.
STEP
# 5 KEEP YOUR HEART………….GUARD YOUR HEART. Here is some
homework for you; Read Proverbs 4:24-27
STEP
# 6 WHEN TEMPTED YIELD YOURSELF TO GOD, RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE
WILL FLEE FROM YOU. James 4:8
STEP
# 7 SET GOALS Living
by the Spirit's Power
15
So
be careful how you live, not as fools but as those who are wise.
16
Make
the most of every opportunity for doing good in these evil days.
17
Don't
act thoughtlessly, but try to understand what the Lord wants you
to do.
18
Don't
be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, let
the Holy Spirit fill and control you.
19
Then
you will sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves,
making music to the Lord in your hearts.
20
And
you will always give thanks for everything to God the Father in
the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

5:15-20 (NLT)
