God is a wonderful Father. A wonderful being. His personality is the type of personality that He wants us to have. The type of personality that will make us into pillars in His Kingdom. Pillars that others can lean against and be supported and upheld in perhaps their difficult trials and times.

What I want us to look at today is to see the side of God that maybe we don't want to see; that which He hates. That which He hates will help us to be the strength that others will need to focus on. Proverbs 6:16 states very clearly what God hates; listen to it as you read it: V16-19: These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

         A proud look,

        A lying tongue,

       And hands that shed innocent blood,

      An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,

     Feet that be swift in running to mischief,

   A false witness that speaketh lies,

 And he that soweth discord among brethren.

Wow! I don't know about you, but there has been times in my life that I have been caught up in the mist of some of these.

He tells us in Psalm 101:5 that those who slanders his neighbor, He will cut off His Blessings and He includes a high look, or the Hebrew translation is Haughty eyes and the strange tongue of man or a mans wife. He hides His eyes from us if we shed innocent blood according to Isaiah 1:15. We know what He did with His creation in Genesis 6:5 when He saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imaginations of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually;

Then, a false witness full of lies and one that stirs up trouble and sows discord among brethren;

So, do I want to be like this? Do you want to be like this? The answer should be a resounding ,NO, NEVER! Hating what God hates is the foundation to build on.

It can be accomplished through taking a stand with and in the love of God!
