Behold,
a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they
shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with
us. Matthew 1:23
“God
with us”! What an awesome statement! What an awesome thought! Through
Jesus Christ, God has manifested Himself to us and to bring us nearer
to Him with an abundant measure of His Grace, righteousness and
mercy. This wonderful manifestation of power came to keep you free.
When Satan tries to dethrone us, or perhaps does dethrone us, it
is because he catches people at a time when they are unaware.
Many
people at this time of the year get all caught up in the party theme
and completely bypass the real theme that Jesus Christ, the only
true Savior of the world, came for all mankind. I love the knowledge
from God that He has shared with us out of Romans 5:20, Moreover
the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where
sin abounded, grace did much more abound: The
Grace of God is the very nature of God and the very nature of the
Son of God.
Philippians
reminds us also, Let this mind be in you, which was also in
Christ Jesus; “ The Lord Jesus left the incomparable glory
in heaven and took upon Himself the humiliation of a servant, becoming
obedient unto death to benefit others. Christ's humility of spirit
and mind must be found in His followers. They too must live their
lives in sacrifice, caring, doing good to others and doing nothing
out of selfishness.” (quoted from the Full Life Study Bible,
KJV)
Jesus
let go of His privileges and glory in heaven in order that we on
earth might be saved. With that action of His, we have (can) escape
from the powers of the devil. We can have an abundance
of Grace, righteousness, liberty for the soul and
transformation of the mind. Instead of thinking about being intoxicated
with the spirits of the world this Christmas season, be intoxicated
with the Spirit. Galatians 5:25, if we live in the Spirit, let
us also walk in the Spirit.
Philippians
2:9-11
9
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name
which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee
should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things
under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus
Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
There
is no better way to draw nigh to God than to begin right here. With
the above verse for we have this promise from James 4:7-8 ,
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil,
and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw
nigh to you…………

Thank
you Father; Thank you Jesus; Thank you Holy Spirit.
Jesus,
we celebrate your Birth. Happy Birthday, Jesus!
