I began using alcohol at the age of 14 to fit in with my friends and shortly after that began using marijuana. At age 17 I was introduced to meth and quickly became addicted to that as well and by my earlier 20's was also addicted to several prescription drugs. My addictions completely ruined my marriage several years ago and landed me in trouble with the law several times where I most recently spent 110 days in jail for a domestic battery charge related to my addiction to alcohol. I also was sent to rehab for 30 days and was just “faking it to make it” and found no hope of overcoming my addictions. While in jail I learned of Addicts Victorious and was initially introduced to the life changing power of Jesus and I surrendered my life to Him and began to attend the Support Group Meetings where I learned about the 5-Day Biblical Counseling Program through Addicts Victorious. I have discovered that by completely surrendering my life to Jesus Christ and giving Him control I no longer have any fear and know God is going to take care of everything. Through the 5-Day Biblical counseling program and the power of Jesus Christ I have no desire to use drugs and alcohol and what used to be my trigger to use now is disgusting to me. The 5-Day Biblical counseling program has definitely been a life changing experience for me.
