Dear Friend,

 

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus said in Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted , to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;” Through your prayers and support this is the Good News that we are sharing in our Support Group Programs throughout the world and in our 5-Day Biblical Counseling Program in Quincy. The following testimony is of a young lady who was brokenhearted but now has found true liberty and freedom through Jesus Christ.

 

“I remember as a young girl at approximately 3 years old I was sexually abused for the first time. This abuse continued until I was 18 years old. At the age of 12 years old, I started drinking heavily and using marijuana to kill the shame and the pain of my abuse. Due to my abuse, at the age of 18 I became very promiscuous and got involved in an abusive relationship with a man who almost killed me. At the age of 21, I met my husband and 7 years later we were married. I held many jobs. I was a loan officer at a bank for 4 years. I was a financial advisor at a truck driving school, an office manager and served as administrative assistant for many years. I was a functioning alcoholic and drug addict, however my addiction continued to escalate. I was divorced at 38 because of my husband's severe use of pornography and multiple addictions. This divorce devastated me. At this point I found myself living a purposeless existence. Now at age 45, I had lost everything. A wonderful pastor from the local church in the town I live in suggested that I go through the Addicts Victorious 5-Day Biblical Counseling Program. There I completely turned my life over to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and found hope where I thought that there was no hope. I truly want to thank all of you, whose support can make this program possible to help hurting people like I was. I'm no longer that person because I have found total freedom through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
